My StumbleUpon PageNorman....the loons are back!
Although this weekend we were not "On Golden Pond" the loons were out and very active.
Something about a loon call is so haunting...and they are just so beautiful.

Cracking pictures of the Loons, but who is Norman????
Henry Fonda played Norman, the old man in the movie "On Golden Pond" back in the early 80's. His wife, Ethel, played by Katharine Hepburn said to him at the beginning of the movie "Norman, the loons are back, can't you hear them calling???"

Beautiful pictures. We saw some loons while in Minnesota. You're right - it is a haunting sound they make.
I love Loons. We ocassionally retreat in Minnesota and loons are one of the best parts. Their call makes me very nostalgic.

Those pics of yours are so awesome. Mine are so awful. But my loons were far away and it was my first time. Someday I'll grow up to be as good as you!
